Christmas Hampers - Ronald MacDonald House and Bristol Dogs & Cats Home

I would like to thank all members for their generous donations again this year to the Christmas Hampers which we give to Ronald MacDonald House and the Bristol Dogs & Cats Home. This has become a regular item at our Christmas meeting over the last few years and is greatly appreciated.

Carole Tapper, who is now a volunteer at Ronald MacDonald House following our visit with last year's hamper, took the hamper down for us and gave it to Denise, the House Manager.  Denise was delighted with the hamper and again said how much it is appreciated by the families staying at the house bringing Christmas cheer to them when they are away from home and in stressful circumstances.

On Thursday Ann Russell and I took the hamper to the Bristol Dogs & Cats Home.  They were also very pleased with our gift as they rely on public donations of food to help them through the Christmas period.  Ann and I were told that the previous week donations had been slow but they were now coming in much to the relief of the workers.  They have many hungry mouths to feed!

I'm really pleased that we now have this tradition of hampers and hope we can keep it up for many years to come as they are so much appreciated.  A big Thank You to all who donated.
