Mike Rowland gave us a very amusing and informative talk about many of the statues in Bristol and the history of the various people that they represent. His talk was accompanied on screen with photos of the statues, many of which we recognised but actually knew very little about.

Mansion House visit – March 2nd

On March 2nd a group of us from HFG and M.U. were invited for tea with the Lord Mayor, Clare Campion-Smith, at the Mansion House.  After being welcomed with tea and biscuits in the Drawing Room, the Lord Mayor and her consort talked to us about the history of the Mansion Houses and the office of Lord Mayor.
