Christmas meeting 2012

Due to unforeseen circumstances there was a last minute change to the programme and at our December meeting on Wednesday 12th we had a Christmas quiz and a game of ‘Snowman’ based on the well known game of Beetle.  This was followed by mulled wine and mince pies and the evening concluded with our traditional carol singing accompanied by Val and Roger Revell who valiantly stepped in at a moment’s notice.

Christmas meal 2012

On Friday December 7th fifteen of our members enjoyed a wonderful (if noisy) Christmas meal at the Beehive, Wellington Hill West. We had a varied choice of menu which included the traditional turkey Christmas dinner, lamb, duck and even a whole sea bass. An example of one of the delicious desserts is shown below (Pierre Tarte Tatin). I think it’s fair to say a good time was had by all even if we did go home with hoarse voices and ringing in the ears!
